38 Common Scoter flew North and a couple of Sandwich Terns off the Marine Drive.

A Stonechat at The Holmes Castle Hill. Four singing Corn Buntings recently just west of Willerby village.

120 Common Scoter, 53 Sandwich Terns, 17 Cormorants, and 7 Curlews flew north past Long Nab this morning. 250 Swifts and a Rock Pipit flew south. Two singing Spotted Flycatchers and a Redstart at Low North Camp. A drumming Snipe on the edge of Jugger Howe Moor. Hobby over Scalby. Singing Whinchat Stony Marle Moor.

Highwood Brow Viewpoint, Wykeham Forest (09.20-10.00am); 2 Honey Buzzards, Goshawk, 2 Crossbills. A Marsh Tit on the north side of Castle Hill.

23 Manx Shearwaters and two Puffins flew north past Scalby Mills in 30 mins this evening.

A Hobby flew over West Ayton this morning.

154 Kittiwake nests on the Grand Hotel (93 in 2007, 140 in 2008). Five Herons flew east over Scalby Lodge Farm and a Curlew south. Two Woodcocks over Wykeham Forest at dusk. A Turtle Dove near Sawdon.

A Marsh Harrier over Scalby at 1.20pm. Two Sandwich Terns past Long Nab. Two Red-legged Partridges on the main pitch at the new Rugby Ground, Scalby, plus a Yellow Wagtail on the small pond there.
