Two Great-crested Grebes in South Bay.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;04.12.08 Red-necked Grebe, Red-breasted Merganser and 2 Eiders at the harbour.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;05.12.08&lt;br/&gt;Red-necked Grebe, Red-breasted Merganser and 2 Eiders still in the harbour.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;06.12.08 One of the Great Grey Shrikes in Langdale Forest was seen briefly at Maw Rigg cSE917947.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;07.12.08 A Bean Goose was at Scalby Lodge Pond, also 46 Curlew, 100 Redshanks, and 20 Skylarks. The Red-necked Grebe was in South Bay, also 4+ Great-crested Grebes, plus 20 Purple Sandpipers on the East Pier, and 2 Eiders and the Red-breasted Merganser in the harbour. 11 Common Scoter and 2 Eiders were in Cayton Bay, plus an Eider at Scalby Mills. 4 Med Gulls were at Holbeck (2 ads, 2 1w). 3 Common Scoters flew past Marine Drive.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;08.12.08 A Common (Mealy) Redpoll was at Low West Side, Langdale Forest (SE925934) together with 4 Lesser Redpolls. 6 Crossbills around Maw Rigg but no sign of the Great Grey Shrike. A Pink-footed Goose and a Shelduck were at Scalby Lodge Pond. The stubble fields at Long Nab held 26 Grey Partridge, 40 Skylarks, and 8 Snipe.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;09.12.08 The juvenile Iceland Gull returned to the harbour this afternoon, seen on the slipway at 3.05 pm. Three adult Med Gulls, a Red-throated Diver and 2 Great-crested Grebes in South Bay, 2 Eiders in the harbour plus 22 Purple Sandpipers at high tide on the East Pier.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;11.12.08 47 Purple Sandpipers, Red-breasted Merganser, 2 Eiders, and 2 Great-crested Gebes at the harbour. Goosander and Pink-footed Goose at Scalby Lodge Pond. Merlin over Old Scarborough Tip. Eastfield Tip new site;  At least 2000 Gulls in mixed flocks all over the proposed building site plus ca 200 Lapwings.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;12.12.08 Goosander at the Mere. 160 Curlews Gristhorpe to Cornelian. Great Northern Diver in South Bay.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;13.12.08 A few seabirds moving in the fresh southerly winds. 20 Gannets, 18 Fulmars and a Razorbill passed Marine Drive in 30 minutes. The Goosander was still at The Mere, and 2 Eiders in the harbour.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;14.12.08 A Snow Bunting flew over West Ayton Carr at 08.45 am., also Willow Tit there. Goldeneye and 2 Gadwall at Wykeham Lakes. Both Great Grey Shrikes still in Langdale Forest today, SE872946 and SE912944. Scarborough Mere; Goosander 1 pr plus 2 juv's. Scalby Mils, 22 Lapwing.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;15.12.08 Two Eiders in the harbour, 3 Shags and a Great-crested Gebe in South Bay.&lt;br/&gt; 16.12.08 On the Grand Hotel 5 Fulmars.  Castle Hill  17 Fulmar plus pr of Peregrines.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;17.12.08 One of the Great Grey Shrikes was seen again in Langdale Forest just north of Blakey Topping at SE872946, also a Goshawk there. A juvenile Glaucous Gull was on the rocks at Cromer Point in the morning.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;18.12.08 A Goldeneye and 3 Great-crested Gebes in South Bay. One Guillemot (scarce so far this winter) off the East Pier.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;19.12.08 Two Eiders still in the harbour. Red-throated Diver and Great-crested Grebe in South Bay.&lt;br/&gt; 20.12.08 5 Goosanders on Scarborough Mere.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;22.12.08 A Great Grey Shrike was seen 9-9.30 a.m. at the south end of Wykeham Forest around the &quot;tumuli fields&quot; along the road north of Hutton Buscel. It flew off eastwards towards a newly planted area. The Great Grey Shrike was still present in Langdale Forest just north of Blakey Topping at SE872946. An Eider plus 320 Wigeon were at Scalby Mills.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;24.12.08 The Red-necked Grebe was again in South Bay.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;26.12.08 The Water Rail was still at Northstead Manor Gardens feeding in the open on the exposed mud. Two Eiders in North Bay.&lt;br/&gt;One Med Gull and 2 Stonechats at Holbeck car park. 650 Lapwings near Star Carr.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;27.12.08 A Red-necked Grebe was in North Bay opposite Cafe del Mar, also Great-crested Gebe, a Razorbill and 12 Eider (8 flew north). Two Eiders in the harbour. A juvenile Iceland Gull was in the gull roost at Wykeham Lakes 15.20-16.03 when it left east. Also 900 GBB Gulls, 2200 Hering Gulls, 5 Gadwall, 180 Teal, and 2 Goldeneyes.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;28.12.08 Three Great-crested Grebes, 4 Red-throated Divers and a Razorbill in North Bay. One Great-crested Grebe, 4 Red-throated Divers, a Guillemot and one Eider (plus 14 flew north) Cayton Bay. Four Med Gulls at Holbeck (2 adults and 2 first-winter).&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;29.12.08 Water Rail still present in Northstead Manor Gardens, plus a Kingfisher and a Stock Dove. A Hooded Crow at Star Carr and juvenile Glaucous Gull at Seamer Tip. The Great Grey Shrike was back at its original clearing in the eastern end of Wykeham Forest - turn right at the T junction at Highwood Brow and bear right at the crossroads to the first clearing. 60 Fieldfare at North Moor. Two Eiders and 32 Purple Sandpipers at the harbour. Three Common Buzzards over the Everley. &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;30.12.08 Juvenile Glaucous Gull, Hooded Crow and Nordic type Jackdaw at Seamer Carr Tip.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;</description>

A Snow Bunting was at Rocks Lane in the field with green bales.&lt;br/&gt;A Goosander and Woodcock were at Scalby Lodge. Woodcocks were also at Hundale Plantation and Cloughton Wyke. A Chiffchaff, 3 Stonechats and a Fieldfare plus two Peregrines were at Ravenscar.&lt;br/&gt;A male Blackcap was at Hood Lane, Cloughton and 9 Fieldfare at Cloughton Wyke. Small numbers of Goldcrests along the coast.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;02.11.08 Seawatching at Long Nab (07.00-13.00); Leach's Petrel flew south at 12.40pm, birds flying north were 3 Little Auks, Sooty Shearwater, 9 Long-tailed Ducks, 389 Gannets, 3 Fulmars, 28 Teal, Pintail, 56 Wigeon, 18 Goldeneyes, 2 Velvet Scoters, a Pochard, 3 Tufted Ducks, 2 Red-breasted Mergansers, 98 Common Scoters, 64 Eiders, a Dark-bellied Brent Goose, Arctic Skua, Great Skua, 7 Red-throated Divers, 20 Kittiwakes.&lt;br/&gt;Two Lapland Buntings were in the stubble field north of the hut, two single Snow Buntings, just south of the hut, and in the horse field with green bales, along Rocks Lane (2nd day).&lt;br/&gt;Two Great-crested Grebes, 8 Wigeon, and a Kingfisher at Seamer Road Mere. A Long-tailed Duck was in the harbour late afternoon.&lt;br/&gt;55 Pink-footed Geese flew south over the town and a Red-breasted Merganser flew north over the Castle. A Stonechat at Marine Drive showed a lot of white on its rump, possibly of continental origin.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;03.11.08 The Long-tailed Duck was still in the harbour, joined by a Great Northern Diver in the morning which was in South Bay mid afternoon. Red-throated Divers were in both North and South Bays.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;04.11.08 A Common Redpoll (&quot;Mealy&quot;) was on the south side of Castle Hill mid afternoon. Good numbers of common migrants grounded in the mist; 80 Blackbirds, 10 Redwings, 4 Fieldfare, 15 Goldcrests. The harbour area held Long-tailed Duck, Great Northern Diver, Red-throated Diver, Great-crested Grebe, Arctic Tern and female Common Scoter.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;05.11.08 A Waxwing was on the south side of Castle Hill at 2.15 pm, it flew and landed in trees at St Mary's Church five minutes later. 30+ Blackbirds there, several Redwings and Goldcrests.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The Long-tailed Duck, Great Northern Diver, and Arctic Tern were still present at the harbour (tern only seen briefly).&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;06.11.08 A huge fall of thrushes were grounded along the coast in the low cloud and mist. The Castle Headland alone held 200 Blackbirds, 300 Rewings, 90 Fieldfare, 20 Robins, 15 Goldcrests, Lesser Redpoll, and Brambling. There was also a Waxwing there early afternoon. 1000 Fieldfare, 900 Blackbird, 600 Redwings and many Robins around Scalby Lodge at midday, plus Blackcap, Chiffchaff and Brambling. &lt;br/&gt;A Blackcap was seen on Hillcrest Avenue by the North Cliff Golf Course, and a Woodcock flew from a garden just south of the Golf Course. The Great Northern Diver was still around the harbour. A Common Swift was reported from Hilla Green Farm 11.30-11.45 am. Waxwing at Friars Lane 8.35am. &lt;br/&gt;07.11.08 First-winter Iceland Gull on the beach in South Bay (no doubt the same bird at Filey later). 25 Waxwings Field Lane, Scalby at 2.45 pm but flew off. &lt;br/&gt;Castle Hill: Radde's Warbler one on the north side, Pallas's Warbler &amp;amp; Yellow-browed Warbler (both with the crest flock), 40+ Goldcrest, 2 Chiffchaff, Male Blackcap, Common Redpoll, 3 Siskin, Male Bullfinch, 70 + Blackbird, Fieldfare, 15 Robin, 3 Coal Tit.&lt;br/&gt;Harbour: Great Northern Diver, 10 Purple Sandpiper. South Bay: Arctic Tern, Sanderling, 1st Winter Iceland Gull.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;08.11.08 Castle Hill: Pallas's and Yellow-browed Warbler, 1 Coal Tit, Chiffchaff 3, Blackcap 1, Goldcrest 50+, Peregrine 1 female, Sparrowhawk 1.&lt;br/&gt;Harbour: 1st winter Iceland Gull, Great Northern Diver. North Bay - Long-tailed Duck - just off Marine Drive. &lt;br/&gt;Hundale - Yellow-browed Warbler, Goldcrest 4, Woodcock 1, Snipe 3, Robin 8, Grey Wagtail 1, Siskin 2.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;09.11.08 Castle Hill: Yellow-browed Warbler (still with the crest flock on the north &lt;br/&gt;side), 25+ Goldcrest, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Coal Tit, 8 Long-tailed Tit. Nearly all the thrushes have now moved on with just 4 Blackbird and 2 Song thrush seen. &lt;br/&gt;Harbour: Great Northern Diver, Long-tailed Duck, 25 Turnstone. &lt;br/&gt;Scalby Lodge Pond: 40 Lapwing, 2 Dunlin, 8 Ringed Plover. &lt;br/&gt;Ring Ouzel at Cloughton Wyke and 3 Waxwing on the old railway track just north of Hood Lane. They landed briefly before flying south.  Around 50 Blackbird and 50 Redwing feeding on the railway track between Cloughton and Hood Lane.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;12.11.08 Harbour: Great Northern Diver, Long-tailed Duck and 2nd winter Iceland Gull. 16 Purple Sandpipers on the rocks off the North Pier.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;15.11.08 Great Grey Shrike in Wykeham Forest. Great Northern Diver, Long-tailed Duck and 25 Purple Sandpipers in the harbour.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;16.11.08 Great Grey Shrike in Wykeham Forest. Iceland Gull, Great Northern Diver and Long-tailed Duck in the harbour. A pair of Red-breasted Megansers, Red-throated Diver and a Bridled Guillemot in the South Bay.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;21.11.08 Harbour: 20 Purple Sandpiper. South Bay: 2 Great Crested Grebe. Castle Hill: Chiffchaff. &lt;br/&gt;22.11.08 Harbour: Juv Iceland Gull, 32 Purple Sandpiper. South Bay: Eider (2 male one female), female Common Scoter, 2 adult Med GullsScarborough Mere: 2 Goosander, 4 Great Crested Grebe. Marine Drive Seawatch (1hour in morning): 1 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Goldeneye, 1 Kittiwake Burton Riggs: Goldeneye, 3 Gadwall. Star Carr: 100 Fieldfare.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;26.11.08 Harbour: Iceland Gull, Great Northern Diver, Eider, and 26 Purple Sandpipers.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;27.11.08 Harbour; Iceland Gull, Eider, 26 Purple Sandpipers at East Pier (high tide). &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;28.11.08 Water Rail at the northern end of the lake in Northstead Manor Gardens. Drake Red Breasted Merganser at Scalby Mills and 44 Purple Sandpiper at the Harbour high tide roost and 2 Sanderling in South Bay. Two Waxwings at Castlegate, East Ayton.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Mere ; 3 Great Crested Grebes, 12 Long Tailed Tits. Eastfield New pond area ; ca 80 Lapwings, 4 Redshanks ,Sparrowhawk. Burton Riggs; Goldeneye male, 4 Bullfinchs all male, Drake Pochard , juv Iceland Gull. Herdborough Farm (off A64)  42 Golden Plover.&lt;br/&gt; &lt;br/&gt;North St Bridge Flixton; 12 Lapwings, Little Grebe ,Long Tailed Tits 6. ca 150 Mixed flock of Fieldfare and Redwings. Holbeck; 6 Med Gulls inc 3 Ringed, Mistle Thrush. Harbour ; Eider female, Great Northern Diver in South Bay. Headland; male Peregrine.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;29.11.08 A Red-necked Grebe was at the harbour mouth this afternoon. A Short-eared Owl was at Burniston near the garden centre. 28 Ringed PLovers were feeding in a freshly sown field east of the Water Works at Cromer Point. 25 Curlews in the &quot;show field&quot; at Scalby Lodge.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;30.11.08 Two Great Grey Shrikes in Langdale Forest today, one just north of Blakey Topping SE872946 and one at Maw Rigg End SE912944. A Marsh Tit at Castle Hill today was quite a significant find for that site. Two Goldcrests but little else. Scalby Mills had 43 Wigeon and 2 Sandwich Terns.     &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;  &lt;br/&gt;03.10.08 Strong northerly winds gave good seawatching conditions along the coast. In 9 hours Long Nab logged 2 juv Long-tailed Skuas, eight parties of Barnacle Geese totalling 63, 12 Sooty Shearwaters, 1 Manx Shearwater, 5 Red t Divers, 18 Great Skuas, 15 Arctic Skuas, 2 Red b Mergansers, a Goldeneye, 9 Eiders, 14 Teal, 14 Wigeon, 8 Common Scoters, 2 Arctic Terns, and 5 Sandwich Terns.&lt;br/&gt;The Curlew Sandpiper was still present at pools on the new industrial estate near Eastfield. Also 5 Dunlin there. Directions; follow the yellow signs for Seamer Tip, just past the point where you rejoin the old road to the tip bear left onto the new industrial estate, pools on both sides after 50m. A good area for watching gulls off the tip.&lt;br/&gt;04.10.08 Seawatching at Long Nab (07.00-10.30) produced 3 Barnacle Geese north, 11 Red t Divers, 15 Shags, 150 Gannets, 3 Red b Mergansers, Common Scoter, Wigeon, 2 Great Skuas, Arctic and Sandwich Terns. No sign of the Curlew Sandpiper today at Eastfield (new industrial estate) but 1000 large gulls there including 120 GBB Gulls and a LBB Gull.&lt;br/&gt;05.10.08 Lesser Whitethroat at Long Nab in Hundale Plantation, also 3 Goldcrests. Two skeins of Pink-footed Geese flew south there totalling 68+ birds. Kingfisher at Northstead Manor Gardens.&lt;br/&gt;06.10.08 Scalby Mills: 2nd winter Med Gull. Cromer Point Pond: Jack Snipe &amp;amp; 2 Common Snipe. Scalby Lodge Pond: 7 Common Snipe, 83 Teal, Little Grebe.&lt;br/&gt;07.10.08 A Red-breasted Flycatcher was seen in low vegetation at Cromer Point suggesting a newly arrived bird.&lt;br/&gt;08.10.08 A Yellow-browed Warbler showed well today at Jackson's Cart Road (gully just north of Scalby Lodge Pond). An influx of common migrants along the coast. Between Long Nab and Scalby Lodge Pond; 25 Robins, 20 Blackbirds, 16+ Goldcrests, 4 Redwings. Southerly passage included 10 Pink-footed Geese, Grey Plover, Swallow, Brambling, 6 Pied Wagtails, 40 Meadow Pipits, 4 Rock Pipits, 5 Redpolls. A Short-eared Owl flew north from Scalby Lodge, and the Pintail was still on the pond there. Also past were 2 Black-throated Divers, a Great Northern Diver, 19 Red-throated Divers, a Red-necked Grebe, 2 Manx Shearwaters, 19 Cormorants, 5 Shag, 80 Gannet, 2 Eiders, 2 Velvet Scoters, 49 Common Scoter, 5 Goldeneye, an adult Med Gull, and 2 Arctic Terns.&lt;br/&gt;Birds coming in off the sea at Long Nab; 11 Snow Buntings, 9 Starlings, 4 Blackbirds. Yellow Wagtail at Scalby Lodge Pond plus Wheatear.   19.04.08  Five Bramblings in garden by North Cliff Golf Course.  21.04.08  Two White Wagtails Scalby Lodge Pond.  22.04.08  Green Sandpiper Town Farm Pond, Cloughton.  23.04.08  Grasshopper Warbler Scalby Nab. Redstart, Yellow Wagtail, Fieldfare and Golden Plover Scalby Lodge area. Nine Whimbrel at Cayton Carr this evening.  24.04.08  Stoupe Brow nr Ravenscar today two Ring Ouzel .one in the evening and Red Grouse. &lt;br/&gt; &lt;br/&gt;25.04.08  Spotted Redshank on flash near Mayville Farm, Cayton Carrs this morning but no sign this evening, also 2 LRP. Nearby Corn Bunting and Lesser Whitethroat. Black Redstart around terrace houses Station Rd, Scalby this evening. &lt;br/&gt; &lt;br/&gt;26.04.08  Hoopoe at Scalby Lodge Farm today, still present this evening. Mostly feeding around outbuildings on north side. Also seen at Cromer Point, Water Treatment Works. Access okay along track to farm from coastal road. Black Redstart White Lodge Farm, Langdale End. &lt;br/&gt;27.04.08  Spotted Redshank still at flash by Mayville Farm, Cayton Carrs plus Black-tailed Godwit. Black-tailed Godwit Scalby Lodge Pond plus Swift. Swift at Yeddingham.  &lt;br/&gt;.&lt;br/&gt;  Spotted Redshank (John Harwood)                      &lt;br/&gt;28.04.08  Firecrest on north side of Castle Hill at the bottom of &quot;Dusky Dell&quot;. Common Tern and 8 Purple Sandpipers at the harbour. Male Blue-headed Wagtail with 25 Yellow Wagtails just north of Scalby Lodge Pond, also 20 Wheatears and Grasshopper Warbler nearby. Two Goshawks and two Common Buzzards Langdale End plus Green Woodpecker. Spotted Redshank still at Mayville Farm flash plus Black-tailed Godwit at nearby Grove Farm. Swifts now widespread.&lt;br/&gt; &lt;br/&gt; </description>
